Applied Materials is hiring an Algorithm Development Manager to lead a team developing computer vision, machine learning, and image processing algorithms for semiconductor inspection and metrology systems. The role owns algorithm architecture, performance optimization, quality and validation methodologies, product development, customer escalations, and the hiring and development of algorithm engineers. Candidates need an MS in a relevant technical discipline, at least 10 years of algorithm development experience on large-scale hardware-centric systems, and 3+ years of technical leadership experience; C++ and Python programming are required, while semiconductor equipment, GPU programming, and high-performance computing experience are preferred.
