Description
Hato Hone St John is recruiting Akaroa-based Ambulance & Events Volunteers to provide patient care and support at community events and on an ambulance. The role may involve responding to 111 calls, treating patients on scene, referring them to other health-care providers, or transporting them to medical facilities. Volunteers receive NZQA-recognised training and are expected to complete approximately two 12-hour shifts and one training session per month. Requirements include a full and clean New Zealand driver’s licence or an approved NZTA advanced driving course, age 18 or over, New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency, a clean police record, and the ability to pass physical, health, literacy, numeracy, and interview assessments.
