Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind is hiring an American Sign Language Interpreter at the E. H. Gentry Facility in Talladega, Alabama. The role provides interpreting services for Deaf and DeafBlind consumers, students, employees, workshops, events, and regional programs; supports the Director of Interpreting and other departments; maintains confidentiality and ethical standards; enters consumer data; and requires frequent daily travel, flexible scheduling, and occasional overnight travel. Applicants must hold an Alabama Interpreter Renewable Permit, demonstrate advanced sign language proficiency under AIDB’s SLPI/SCPI system, maintain a driver’s license, vehicle, and liability insurance, and complete a fingerprint background check.
