Description

Responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and evaluating machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, ammonia refrigeration equipment, and electrical systems according to safety standards and company procedures. The role involves performing preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical apparatus, refrigeration systems, building infrastructure, and material handling equipment. Key duties also include completing work orders, logging activities in CMMS, and communicating inspection reports to leadership.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 3 years mechanical experience maintaining motorized lifts and equipment, warehouse, processing, and/or manufacturing equipment.
2 years industrial refrigeration experience (ammonia).
Preferred Qualifications: Successful completion of Refrigeration Operator 1 course and/or (CARO) or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
Basic electrical instrumentation experience.
Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
Proficient computer skills including Word and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and deliver technical results to a non-technical audience.
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
Ability to work in extreme temperatures (-20°F to 100°F) in cold storage sites or dry storage sites while wearing appropriate PPE and freezer gear.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kg.
Flexible work schedule and shifts, including weekends.
Demonstrated knowledge and practice of Working at Height regulations.
