Amazon Lab126 is hiring an Android Telephony Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize the cellular telephony framework and services layer on Android-based devices. The role owns the application processor side of the mobile telephony stack, including calling, data connectivity, messaging, Wi-Fi calling, eSIM provisioning, and 5G integration, while optimizing performance, reliability, and power efficiency across carrier networks and device configurations. The engineer will collaborate with product management, modem/baseband, OS platform, QA/certification, and cloud services teams, and lead architectural decisions and complex technical issues.
