Description
The Temporary Animal Intake Technician triages animals entering the Nebraska Humane Society shelter, administers initial vaccinations and medications, records medical and behavioral observations, enters intake data, provides basic animal care, handles animals safely, cleans intake areas, and performs euthanasia by injection. The role reports to the Director, Animal Welfare, runs Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and is guaranteed through the end of 2026. A high school diploma or GED and previous animal welfare experience are required; sheltering software, an associate degree, and euthanasia certification are desired.
