Description
The Animal Intake Technician triages animals entering the shelter, administers initial vaccinations and medications, records medical and behavioral observations, enters intake data, provides basic animal care, handles animals safely, cleans intake areas, and performs euthanasia by injection. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, previous animal welfare experience, the ability to pass a federal background check and work around controlled substances, and strong communication and animal-handling skills. Schedules include Wednesday through Sunday and rotating holiday work, with evening and weekend availability as needed.
