Description
The School Security Officer is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of Northside College Prep, including monitoring entrances and grounds, responding to incidents, conducting hall sweeps and patrols, documenting misconduct, supporting student lockers and entry processes, de-escalating behavior, participating in emergency response, and maintaining a positive school climate. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2–3 years of related experience, physical ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours, knowledge of CPS safety systems and student conduct, and successful completion of CPS Security Training.
