Description
Pyramid Consulting is seeking an API Gateway Engineer for a 04+ month onsite contract in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with long-term potential. The role deploys and supports API and AI gateway solutions, including Model Context Protocol servers and tool integrations; manages Kubernetes workloads on AWS EKS or similar platforms; builds CI/CD, Helm, Terraform, and GitOps pipelines; and configures ingress, authentication, TLS, routing, and gateway policies. The engineer will also perform troubleshooting, monitoring, incident support, design reviews, and developer support while collaborating with application, cloud, network, security, and architecture teams. Required technologies include Kubernetes, API gateways, AWS/EKS, Terraform, Helm, CI/CD, API security, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, TLS, mTLS, Prometheus, Grafana, and MCP server integration.
