The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is hiring Application Developers at Levels 1 through 5 for its Information Technology department at 2 Broadway, New York, NY 10004. The role involves designing, coding, testing, documenting, and maintaining web-based, mobile, or client/server software; investigating production problems; and leading software development activities at higher levels. Required technologies include Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservice architecture, Python, Cognos, Hexagon, Octave, and PL/SQL. Each level has progressively higher programming, troubleshooting, leadership, and experience requirements, with Level 1 requiring a bachelor’s degree or at least one year of software-development experience and Level 5 requiring a bachelor’s degree or at least 12 years of experience.
