Description
The Application Engineer (Backend) will develop, test, deploy, and sustain Python-based REST endpoints, microservices, and data-model management capabilities using Django or Flask, with MariaDB or MongoDB, to serve JSON data to UI front ends. The role also provides middleware and backend support for system applications. Required qualifications include an active TS.SCI clearance with FSP through MD, eight years of experience, Python, Docker, Django or Flask, database experience with MongoDB or MariaDB, REST endpoint development, and microservice experience. Desired qualifications include AWS or other cloud experience, JSON or XML serialization, Jira, Confluence, and Git. The role requires a minimum of four years of experience and a doctorate's degree, or fewer years with lower education levels, and offers a salary range of $225,000 to $235,000.
