Synopsys is hiring a Senior Software Architect to lead end-to-end technical planning and architectural design for large-scale custom software solutions integrating Ansys simulation tools for aerospace and United States defense customers. The role defines architectural standards, partners with project managers and defense customers, evaluates cloud-native and AI/ML technologies, and oversees distributed systems, microservices, data pipelines, secure CI/CD, and production software. It requires a bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience, a master's degree with 10+ years, or a PhD with 8+ years; extensive experience with modern software technologies; and a government Top Secret or TS/SCI security clearance. The position can be based in Colorado Springs, Colorado; the Washington, DC area; Huntsville, Alabama; or Exton, Pennsylvania.
