Description
As an Application Scientist, you will join a leading company specializing in specialty optical fibers for various advanced industries like telecommunications, medical technology, defense, industrial applications, and scientific research. This role involves developing and testing continuous-wave and pulsed laser systems to assess the performance of active optical fibers created by the R&D team. Responsibilities include performing optical fiber product testing and characterization, designing laser systems and optical amplifiers, developing models for photonic and fiber optic systems, analyzing simulation results, communicating findings to the design team, creating validation tools, overseeing test bench assembly, providing technical support, contributing to scientific publications, monitoring literature, assisting with quality team failure analysis, participating in technological review, aiding equipment procurement, collecting performance data, preparing technical reports, and fulfilling other assigned tasks.
