Citi is hiring a full-time Senior Java Spark Developer to support the transformation and modernization of its data processing platforms. The role involves designing and developing scalable Java and Apache Spark applications, translating business requirements into production solutions, optimizing distributed data systems, troubleshooting performance issues, participating in code reviews, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior developers. Candidates need at least seven years of Java and Apache Spark or Big Data development experience, strong object-oriented programming and distributed systems knowledge, and experience with REST APIs, relational databases, and messaging systems; Databricks, microservices, containerization, and AI-related experience are preferred or advantageous.
