Description

Seven Seas Water Group is hiring an Applications Engineer to serve as the technical lead for industrial water and wastewater Water-as-a-Service projects. The role translates influent and effluent requirements into treatment flowsheets, process flow diagrams, mass balances, design bases, equipment lists, capital and operating estimates, and proposal content. It also manages supplier relationships, scopes of work, performance guarantees, and technical bid evaluations. The position is hybrid in Tampa, Florida or Houston, Texas, with 20 to 30% travel to customer sites, suppliers, and pilot work.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
Required Previous Experiences: 10+ years in industrial water and wastewater treatment in an applications, process, or proposal engineering role, with depth in both water and wastewater
Direct experience with industrial clients and their waste streams
Demonstrated command of major industrial water and wastewater treatment unit operations
A genuine, working supplier network across major treatment technologies
Experience writing equipment scopes of work and negotiating process performance guarantees with suppliers
Ground-up estimating capability including PFD development, equipment selection and sizing, capital estimating, and operating cost estimation
Preferred Qualifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience with alternative delivery models such as DBOO, DBOOM, BOOT, or Water-as-a-Service contracts
Piloting or treatability study experience
