XTS is hiring an Applications Engineer to support the United States Geological Survey’s National Geospatial Technical Operations Center and enhance existing public-facing applications for The National Map. The role focuses on JavaScript, AWS cloud technologies, data workflow automation, troubleshooting, testing, and scalable software improvements. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, two years of software or applications engineering experience, JavaScript proficiency, and hands-on AWS SDK, AWS CLI, Lambda, S3, and EC2 experience. The position offers health care, dental and vision coverage, paid time off, and a 401(k) with employer matching, with an expected annual salary of $65,000 to $75,000.
