Description
Synopsys is hiring a Principal Application Engineer - Missile Defense to build and refine high-fidelity models of missile threats, sensor phenomenology, and multi-spectral signatures for air and missile defense simulation environments. The role develops synthetic datasets for AI/ML training, integrates capabilities into STK and AFSIM, supports track fusion and sensor integration, and provides technical leadership on modeling requirements and fidelity. It requires a relevant engineering, physics, or computer science degree, 10+ years of professional experience (or 8+ years with an MS), a government Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance, U.S. citizenship, and domestic travel of up to 25%. The position is remote-eligible and may be based in Colorado Springs, Washington, DC, Huntsville, or Exton, with a base salary of $160,000–$240,000.
