Synopsys is hiring a Staff Engineer in Applications Engineering for its Japan-based, remote-eligible lithography applications team. The role develops OPC recipes, mask synthesis workflows, and automation tools; provides technical support and consulting to semiconductor fabrication customers; delivers training; collaborates on joint development and customer-facing publications; and works with global R&D and product teams. Candidates need an MS or PhD in a relevant field, at least three years of hands-on lithography or OPC experience, scripting skills in Python or Tcl, Linux proficiency, and strong customer-facing technical communication.
