Description

Synopsys is hiring a Senior Applications Engineer for its Hardware Assisted Verification team in Bengaluru, India. The role provides expert technical support to global customers using Zebu Emulation and Protocompiler Prototyping software, troubleshooting FPGA design issues across partitioning, synthesis, place and route, and hardware debug; migrating designs to new releases; deploying software features; delivering training; collaborating with R&D; and supporting pre-sales evaluations. The position is remote-eligible, requires occasional travel, and seeks candidates with FPGA design experience, RTL debugging skills, and knowledge of emulation or prototyping environments.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering with 2-3 years of experience, or a Master's degree in Electronics Engineering with 1-2 years of experience in emulation or prototyping environments
Required Previous Experiences: Several years of FPGA design and implementation experience
Hands-on FPGA logic design and implementation experience, including synthesis, place and route, and timing closure
Strong RTL debugging and modification experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL
FPGA architecture and back-end implementation experience, including resource utilization, clock domain crossing, and design partitioning
Experience with PCIe, AXI, UART, or I2C interface protocols in hardware-software integration
Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to Xilinx or Altera synthesis tools
Familiarity with Synopsys Prototyping or Emulation hardware and software
Scripting experience in Python, Tcl, or shell for workflow automation and log analysis
