Synopsys is hiring a Staff Application Engineer- Physical Design to support semiconductor customers with advanced-node physical design tools and methodologies. The role focuses on debugging RTL-to-GDS flows, improving placement, CTS, routing, timing closure, and power optimization, developing customer-specific methodologies, running benchmarks and proof-of-concept flows, and translating customer challenges into product requirements. The engineer will collaborate with R&D, product management, and field teams, present technical content, and travel to customer sites as needed. The position is based in Sunnyvale, California, is not remote, and offers a base salary of $129,000 to $193,000.
