Description
OpenAI is hiring an Applied AI Engineering Manager, Startups to lead and scale its startup-focused Applied AI Engineering motion. The role defines the team’s strategic vision and operating model, leads and mentors technical individual contributors, helps startups move from experimentation to production, partners with Sales and other go-to-market teams, represents customer feedback, creates repeatable deployment playbooks and reference architectures, and serves as a senior technical escalation point for founders, CTOs, and technical executives. The position requires experience in early-stage startups, technical leadership, customer-facing team building, APIs and AI/ML systems, and scalable operating models.
