HUD is hiring an Applied Research Engineer to own the implementation of technical deployment requests from frontier AI labs, data vendors, and internal teams. The role involves triaging and clarifying ambiguous customer or partner requests, building tools and one-off pipelines, resolving debugging issues across code, data, and environments, coordinating with research and go-to-market teams, and turning recurring manual work into reusable processes. The position is full-time, based in San Francisco or Singapore, with remote candidates eligible for 70–80% overlap with those time zones, and offers visa and relocation support.
