Amazon is hiring an Applied Science Manager to lead and grow a team of applied scientists focused on AI/ML in wireless connectivity and sensing. The role combines technical leadership with people management, including mentoring scientists, reviewing code and designs, defining the AI/ML science roadmap, translating business problems into scientific challenges, guiding research through production, collaborating with engineering and product teams, and representing the team’s innovations internally and externally. The position requires at least three years of management experience, a PhD or master’s degree, programming experience, and research or publication experience in machine learning, deep learning, or computer vision.
