Description
Microsoft is hiring an Applied Science PhD Intern to design, implement, evaluate, and deploy machine learning and AI solutions for real-world products and services. The role involves developing and fine-tuning large and small language models, analyzing large datasets, building scalable prototypes, conducting rigorous experiments, optimizing model performance, and collaborating with researchers, engineers, and product teams. Candidates must be currently pursuing a PhD in a relevant technical field, have at least one semester or quarter remaining after the internship, and possess research and machine learning experience, including Python, PyTorch or TensorFlow, experimental design, and large-scale pipeline work.
