Amazon Translations Services is hiring an Applied Scientist to design and implement scalable machine learning solutions for language translation across Amazon’s global marketplace. The role focuses on applying LLM models, analyzing data, evaluating modeling techniques, and collaborating with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to improve translation accuracy, efficiency, and customer experience. The position is based in Amazon’s Seattle office and requires at least three years of business-model-building experience, a PhD or master’s degree with four or more years of relevant experience, and programming experience in Java, C++, Python, or a related language.
