Fauna Robotics is hiring an Applied Scientist focused on Robotics Spatial Intelligence and Semantic Understanding. The role develops world-modeling and semantic-understanding algorithms for domestic robots, evaluates them through simulation and on-robot benchmarks, performs sim-to-real transfer experiments, and collaborates with navigation, manipulation, and other robotics teams. Candidates need a PhD or a master's degree with at least four years of experience in computer science, computer engineering, machine learning, or a related field, plus four or more years of industry or academic research experience, technical leadership, a strong robotics or machine learning publication record, and programming experience in Python, C++, or a related language. The position is based in Sunnyvale, California, with a base salary of 171,600 to 222,200 USD annually.
