The Appointment Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients seeking orthopaedic care at Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons. The role coordinates appointments, answers high-volume inbound calls, verifies patient information, maintains EHR documentation, supports provider scheduling, routes messages to clinical teams, and follows HIPAA and quality standards. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, two years of customer service experience, one year of medical office or healthcare call center experience, and strong communication, organization, and computer skills; an associate degree, orthopaedic practice experience, centralized scheduling experience, EHR experience, and patient registration or insurance verification experience are preferred.
