Description
The Dougherty County Tax & Tag Department is hiring an Appraiser for the Board of Assessors to appraise real and/or personal property for tax purposes. The role independently inspects properties, researches comparable sales and market data, adjusts values, enters findings into the CAMA appraisal system, responds to property owners and the public, presents valuation recommendations to the Board, and updates tax and parcel records. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED equivalent, two years of real estate appraisal or related experience, GA DOR Appraiser I certification within twelve months, and a valid Georgia driver’s license. The position may require night, weekend, and holiday work and involves outdoor work in various weather conditions.
