Description
The Driver Apprentice trains with a WM Driver and/or WM Driver Trainer after obtaining a Commercial Driving Permit, then safely operates a commercial refuse or recycling vehicle while completing required training. The role includes vehicle inspections, route service, customer communication, incident reporting, route-efficiency improvement, and assistance with loading, hoisting, backing, and other on-route tasks. Applicants must be at least 18, legally eligible to work in the United States, able to communicate in English, and hold a Commercial or Non-commercial Driver's License Class C or D; a CDL permit is preferred. The position offers $21.75 in expected base pay and medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefits.
