Description
The Apprentice Electrician assists electricians with diagnosing, repairing, installing, testing, and maintaining high- and low-voltage electrical equipment, wiring systems, motors, generators, fans, telecommunication systems, and related equipment. The role performs preventive and predictive maintenance, reads blueprints and schematics, operates electrical maintenance equipment, and works under the supervision of Journeyman or Master Electricians. It requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of electrical work experience, a Texas Apprentice Electrician's License, a valid Class C driver's license, and the ability to perform physical testing. The position is primarily outdoors, may involve unscheduled overtime and rotating shifts, and offers a $1,000 hiring incentive and a $1,000 retention incentive.
