Description
GAP Group is hiring one permanent full-time Apprentice Fitter for its Bournemouth Plant & Tools division. The role is a three-year apprenticeship based in Wimbourne, with Monday-to-Friday 8:00–5:00 pm working hours and no required weekend work. The apprentice will learn to service, maintain, and repair plant machinery and equipment, replace components, check systems, calibrate instruments, and develop engineering skills involving electro-hydraulics and computerised control systems. Applicants need at least four GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, an interest in plant machinery and engineering, attention to detail, and good communication skills. Starting salaries are £16,224 per annum for apprentices under 18 and £17,860 per annum for apprentices over 18.
