Xcel Energy is hiring one or more Apprentice Hydro Operators for the Trego Hydro Plant in Trego, Wisconsin. The role involves operating, inspecting, and maintaining the Trego plant, with periodic work at other plants and reservoirs. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, pass the EEI Plant Personnel Test, participate successfully in the apprenticeship program, and reside within 20 miles of the assigned hydro plant within six months of hire. Technical education and industrial mechanical or electrical experience are desired; a Class A CDL and FMCSR-compliant driver qualifications are preferred. The position is union-represented and pays $29.49 to $49.15 per hour depending on apprenticeship step or journeyman placement.
