Description
SpaceX is hiring an Apprentice Weld Support Technician at its Texas Test Site to support welding operations through plasma programming, saw and drill/mill operation, material handling, blueprint analysis, and cross-training. The role requires an associate’s degree or two-year technical school certification, hand-tool and blueprint-reading experience, and the ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 45 pounds, working at heights, and traveling nationally for up to four weeks. Preferred qualifications include plasma-table experience, measuring-instrument use, cutting or machining experience, job-shop experience, welding-trade knowledge, safety knowledge, and adaptability in a high-paced environment. The position also requires availability for extended hours, weekends, and extreme outdoor conditions, and applicants must meet U.S. government export-authorization requirements.
