Imperial Valley College is hiring a part-time temporary Apprenticeship Instructor to teach community college credit apprenticeship courses under the direction of a Dean and in cooperation with a Division Chair. The role includes delivering instruction according to approved curricula and course outlines, preparing classes, evaluating students and learning outcomes, maintaining records, advising students, maintaining professional standards, and sustaining competency in the subject area. Candidates must meet one of several education and occupational-experience pathways, including an associate degree plus four years of related occupational experience, or six years of occupational experience with a journeyman’s certificate and apprenticeship or college coursework, or six years of occupational experience plus ten years as an apprenticeship instructor for the California Department of Industrial Relations Division of Apprenticeship Standards.
