Description
The Aquatics Coordinator manages YMCA aquatics programs, lifeguarding, safety, staff supervision, swim lessons, program development, member communications, and departmental budgeting. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of aquatics or lifeguarding experience, current lifeguarding certification, CPR/AED and first-aid training, and the ability to maintain physical and mental alertness. Preferred qualifications include swim-instructor and pool-operator certification, Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency, Daxko software knowledge, and bilingual English-Spanish ability. The position involves outdoor pool work, emergency response, safety inspections, chemical monitoring, attendance records, and ongoing Oxygen and CPO certifications.
