Description
The Archaeologist will supervise field crews, conduct research, excavate sites, analyze artifacts, and prepare technical and site reports. The role involves field surveys, equipment and vehicle maintenance, data logging with GPS, site evaluations and mitigations, safety compliance, and work in remote locations, adverse weather, hotels, camps, or occasionally by boat or helicopter. A degree in Anthropology or Archaeology, valid First Aid and Class 5 driver's license, and relevant outdoor and leadership training are required; previous Cultural Resource Management or fieldwork experience is an asset.
