Description
The Design Manager leads multi-disciplinary transit design teams and manages task orders, subcontractors, budgets, schedules, risks, quality, safety, and construction-related design issues. The role coordinates with the Design Director, project managers, operations, engineering, safety, third parties, and quality staff, and oversees architectural, civil, traffic, track, structural, geotechnical, landscaping, ventilation, electrical, and lighting design elements. It requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a closely related field, a Washington civil engineer or licensed architect credential, and extensive leadership and transit design experience.
