Joni and Friends is hiring an experienced Area Director in Matthews, North Carolina to provide strategic, operational, fundraising, staff, volunteer, community, and spiritual leadership for the local ministry area. The role manages ministry planning and budgets, donor development, partnerships, and ministry programs while advancing the organization’s Christian mission and disability outreach. It requires a bachelor’s degree, at least five years of progressive leadership or nonprofit management experience, fundraising and fiscal management experience with budgets exceeding $400,000, strong communication and people-leadership skills, proficiency with Microsoft 365 and CRM databases, and willingness to travel. Compensation is $78,000–$90,000 annually, with a hybrid schedule of three office days and two remote days.
