BKF is hiring an Area Lead - Transportation Design to oversee and grow the firm’s transportation design service offering in Northern California. The role reports to the Transportation Design Regional Lead or Practice Lead and is responsible for market growth, client development, major transportation project pursuits, project delivery, operational performance, budgeting, quality control, and leadership of project managers, engineers, and technical staff. The position requires at least 12 years of engineering experience focused on project management, a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field, and experience with transportation agencies; a California PE license is preferred. The typical base salary is $174,000 to $250,000 annually, paid biweekly, with travel to other BKF locations and client sites possible.
