Amazon is hiring an Area Manager to lead a large and diverse team at an operational site. The role focuses on safety, quality, productivity, performance analysis, process improvement, team management, escalations, and operational contingency planning. The manager will work shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays, and collaborate with other managers, business leaders, and engineers. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, cross-functional team experience, team-management experience, problem-solving and root-cause analysis experience, and flexibility for varied schedules are required; distribution-center, logistics, or manufacturing experience is preferred.
