Description

Dexterra Group is hiring an Area Manager to lead a major TransLink account spanning multiple physical locations. The role combines senior client relationship management, contract delivery, financial performance, operational excellence, safety, staffing, and long-term growth with direct leadership of site management teams. Candidates need at least five years of management experience in facilities management, janitorial services, building services, or a related service environment, along with experience managing multi-site operations, client relationships, service contracts, labour relations, and employee performance. The position requires regular travel between work sites and completion of a criminal record check.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: At least 5 years of management experience directing teams in facilities management, janitorial services, building services, operations, or a related service environment.
Experience managing multi-site operations, preferably in a large, complex, unionized, public sector, municipal, transit, or similar environment.
Experience managing client relationships and operational service contracts.
Experience with financial management, budgeting, forecasting, P&L accountability, and cost control.
Experience recruiting, training, developing, retaining, and managing the performance of employees and leadership teams.
Experience managing labour relations, including unionized environments.
Ability to lead managers, supervisors, team leads, and frontline employees across multiple locations.
Successful completion of a criminal record check.
Preferred Qualifications: Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience managing janitorial or facilities services in transit, municipal, government, hospitality, or other complex operational environments.
Experience using mobile or hand-held technology for operational reporting and communication.
