Description
The Project Superintendent plans, coordinates, and supervises field and administrative operations for construction projects, providing technical direction and overseeing safety, costs, productivity, profitability, quality, schedules, and subcontractor work. The role may supervise one or more field superintendents and includes responsibilities such as reviewing shop drawings, coordinating project teams, managing CPM schedules and lean work plans, developing quality and safety plans, and overseeing punch lists and commissioning. It requires a four-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and experience, knowledge of construction technology, equipment, methods, negotiations, engineering, cost control, scheduling, and safety, and the ability to perform physically demanding field work.
