St. Tammany Health System is hiring a full-time Armed Public Safety Officer to provide hospital security across interior and exterior grounds in Covington, Louisiana. The role involves patrols, emergency response, traffic and visitor monitoring, escorts, report writing, property collection, assistance with patient restraint or detention, and coordination with local authorities. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of armed security experience, state firearms certification and approved firearms/handcuffing or law-enforcement training, a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and a clear driving record. The position works 12-hour day and/or night shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays, and requires firearms qualification and annual recertification.
