Description

Provides armed security at designated U.S. Government facilities, protecting personnel, visitors, and property and potentially working in a Control Center. Duties include visitor screening, rule enforcement, foot patrols, traffic control, x-ray screening, alarm and emergency response, radio communication, first aid/CPR, and maintaining weapons, fitness, and physical qualification standards. The role requires at least two years of armed security or military experience (with law enforcement or military experience preferred), a high school diploma or equivalent or qualifying education/training, U.S. citizenship or qualifying permanent-resident military service, English fluency, background and suitability screening, and the ability to pass medical, psychological, drug, and physical-agility tests.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent; qualifying alternatives include 60 related college credit hours or certified law-enforcement training.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 2 years of armed security experience.
At least 2 years of honorable U.S. military service.
Preferred Qualifications: Five years of law enforcement experience preferred.
Secret clearance preferred.
U.S. citizenship, or qualifying lawful permanent resident status with current or prior U.S. Armed Forces service.
Ability to pass medical, physical-agility, drug, psychological, background, training, and Federal Protective Service suitability screening.
Fluent spoken and written English.
Minimum age of 21.
