Description

LMI is seeking an experienced Artificial Intelligence (AI) Lead to support the General Services Administration (GSA) in delivering advanced AI-enabled capabilities within a modern, web-based acquisitions system. The AI Lead will define and implement the AI technical approach, integrate and orchestrate multiple AI agents, and ensure adherence to federal IT standards and AI governance. This role involves leading applied AI delivery, MLOps, DevSecOps integration, and fostering stakeholder collaboration within secure cloud environments like AWS. The position is anticipated to be primarily remote with frequent client visits in Washington, D.C.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Advanced knowledge of AI, machine learning, deep learning, and data science concepts (Master’s or Ph.D. strongly preferred)
Required Previous Experiences: Demonstrated experience serving as an AI Lead (or equivalent role) on complex enterprise or federal technology programs
Proven track record designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML solutions into production environments
Experience implementing MLOps practices and integrating model deployment into CI/CD pipelines
Experience deploying and managing AI workloads within AWS cloud environments
Strong understanding of federal IT standards, AI governance, and ATO-related security requirements
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting GSA or other federal AI modernization initiatives
Familiarity with multi-agent AI architectures and autonomous workflow orchestration
Relevant certifications in cloud, AI/ML, or security disciplines
Experience implementing AI solutions in highly regulated or compliance-driven environments
