The role develops and optimizes neural video coding, learned motion representation, entropy modeling, and hybrid compression systems; evaluates rate-distortion performance; and contributes to video coding standards, patents, conference papers, and journal publications. Candidates should have a relevant degree and experience developing machine learning models for compression, computer vision, or multimedia applications, with preferred experience in learned image or video compression, generative AI, video coding standards, Python, C/C++, and PyTorch.
