Shift is hiring an Artificial Intelligence Researcher for its Agentic Claims squad to design, prototype, evaluate, and deploy production-grade AI agents for insurance claim workflows. The role focuses on generative and agentic AI, LLMs, multimodal models, tool-augmented agents, prompt and RAG design, memory strategies, benchmarking, and continuous improvement. Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant field, at least three years of AI-systems experience, strong Python and modern AI-framework skills, and business fluency in English; French fluency and production-agent experience are advantageous. The position offers full remote flexibility across France, with proximity to the Paris region preferred.
