Synopsys is hiring an Automotive Functional Safety Staff Engineer to develop and maintain ISO 26262 safety work products for Digital DesignWare IP, including Technical Safety Concepts, FMEDA, FTA, DFMEA, DFA, safety plans, and safety cases. The role collaborates with IP development teams and automotive customers, translates requirements into safety guidance, automates safety analysis workflows, leads reviews, and supports ASIL B, C, and D certification for safety-critical automotive applications. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience or a master's degree with 5+ years, along with formal ISO 26262 training, semiconductor and digital design experience, and proven experience qualifying embedded hardware or hardware/software systems to ISO 26262 ASIL levels.
