Description
The Pump Assembler assembles pumps and related equipment at a bench or on the shop floor, using blueprints, hand and power tools, and measuring devices. The role includes checking alignment, conducting or assisting with final tests and hydrostatic tests, troubleshooting malfunctions, grinding components, and notifying management of issues. A high school diploma or GED is required, while 3–5 years of related experience or training is preferred; the position also requires blueprint-reading, pump assembly, shop-safety, quality-assurance, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude skills.
