Description
The Fiber Optic Assembly Technician performs precision assembly, termination, polishing, inspection, and documentation of fiber optic cable assemblies and harsh-environment connectivity products. The role requires reading technical drawings and bills of materials, using precision hand tools and equipment, identifying defects, maintaining quality and traceability records, and collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams. A high school diploma or GED is required, while fiber-optic assembly experience, technical manufacturing experience, and familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 are preferred. The position involves standing, lifting up to 35 pounds, moderate noise, and exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
